Distribution partnerships
shouldn't depend on chance.
Your distributor has stepped back from a territory. You are assessing a new market. Or you run a specialist distribution business and need another product line worth representing.
Finding a name is easy. Knowing whom to approach, and why, takes work.
Partner Signal investigates public distributor-recruitment information, checks potential fit and prepares evidence-backed shortlists. With the client's prior approval, we approach selected companies. We make a direct introduction only after both sides say they are willing to have an initial conversation.
Two sides of the same opportunity
For manufacturers — when coverage needs attention
An existing distributor may have withdrawn. A territory might be under-served. Or entering a new market may depend on finding a company with the right product focus and service capability.
We examine prospective distributors against the market, product requirements and publicly visible channel information. You receive the reasons behind a shortlist, not names without context.
For distributors — when your product portfolio needs to move forward
A supplier has ended a product range. Your customers are asking for equipment you do not yet carry. Which manufacturers are actually looking for distribution in your territory?
We look for published recruitment signals and assess whether those manufacturers could fit your existing lines and capabilities.
Why a directory is not the answer
A public recruitment page can be useful. So can a trade show. But neither tells you automatically whether a particular company fits your territory, has conflicting lines or wants to begin a conversation.
We do the preparatory work: identify relevant public evidence, note possible conflicts and make the first approach only with permission. No indiscriminate outreach.
What happens next
Discovery
We research recruitment signals, product ranges and territory coverage, then record the evidence for each shortlisted company.
Introduction
After the client's approval, we ask the shortlisted companies whether they are interested in a first discussion. Only mutual interest leads to an introduction.
Coordination
We help exchange basic documents and track early follow-ups. The manufacturer and distributor handle commercial negotiations directly.
A shortlist you can question
For each proposed company, we document the public sources reviewed, the reasons it may be relevant, product and territory considerations, potential conflicts and what has not been verified.
If the evidence is not strong enough, we say so. A full-looking list is not a substitute for a credible one.
What we mean by interest
Interest means being open to an initial conversation. It does not mean an agreement to appoint a distributor, carry a product, negotiate particular terms or enter into a contract.
Start with a product and a territory
Tell us what your company makes or hopes to represent, and where. We can discuss an initial review, then agree on the scope and fee in writing before paid work begins.
